Cheesy Turkey Dippers
These were so fun! Easy to make and fun to eat. Who doesn’t like dipping things into stuff? Especially when those things are stuffed with more stuff! May I introduce… Easy Cheesy Turkey Dippers. Ha, when did this blog turn into a kids cookbook? I don’t know. But if I had kids, I bet they’d like these. I know the dog would gobble a couple of these dippers up if she got the chance. They were easy enough for a kid to make, too. (With help!) Also needed: a working oven. Which I now have!
Cheesy Turkey Dippers (makes 12-20)
1 Tbsp Butter
1/2 cup Shallots, diced
1 clove Garlic, finely diced
1/2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning, or Herbs de Provance, or some mix of fresh or dried Basil, Parsley, Oregano, etc.
S&P
1 Egg
1 lb Ground Turkey
2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
6-10 Mini Mozzarella Balls, halved
Dipping Sauce
Preheat to 350. Melt the butter and saute the shallots, garlic and seasonings until soft. Let cool. Scramble egg and mix with turkey and 1/2 cup panko. Add the shallot mix and combine. Use your hands to encase each half mozz ball with the turkey mix:
Once rolled into balls, roll balls in extra panko crumbs until coated and place on a greased pan. Bake for 20 minutes, and serve hot with hot dipping sauce.

these are really good….have to bookmark this..
Thanks guys! If you make them let me know how they turn out for you!
I want to try this too! do you think it’d work as a meal or more of an appetizer ?? Maybe a meal if you included a vegetable side?
Sara – could be a meal if you served with a salad and some garlic bread 😉 (or something along those lines…) otherwise, they are great apps! You can always make them bigger or smaller to suit your situation.
